We’ve launched two brand-new BoatBites apps—one designed specifically for boaters and another built for our delivery drivers. Both are now available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
If you’ve downloaded BoatBites before, the app currently on your phone is the old version. To get the latest experience, download the new BoatBites Boater app.
Why We Built a New App
Previously, boaters and delivery drivers used the same BoatBites app. While it worked, having ordering and driver features in one place could make the experience more complicated than it needed to be.
So we separated them.
The new BoatBites Boater app has one purpose: making it easier to order food, drinks, and other essentials and have them delivered directly to your boat.
What’s New for Boaters?
A Cleaner, Simpler Ordering Experience
The new app is built entirely around boaters. There are no driver menus or unnecessary steps—just a more straightforward way to browse, order, and get back to enjoying your day on the water.
Better Boat Finding
Delivering to a boat is different from delivering to a house.
We rebuilt our marine routing and geofencing technology to help BoatBites drivers locate customers more accurately, whether you’re anchored offshore, hanging out at a sandbar, or tied up at a marina.
Food and Drinks in One Order
The new app supports beer, wine, and other beverages where available, allowing boaters to order more of what they need in one place.
Whether you forgot something for the cooler or simply don’t want to leave the water, BoatBites is designed to help keep the boat day going.
A Stronger System Behind the Scenes
Some of the biggest improvements aren’t immediately visible.
We rebuilt the technology connecting boaters, restaurants, vendors, and delivery drivers to create a faster, more reliable ordering and delivery experience.
Updates That Actually Matter to Boaters
Separating the apps also means better communication.
Boaters will receive updates and information focused on ordering and the BoatBites customer experience, while drivers will receive information relevant to deliveries and operations.
Built From Real Experience on the Water
Many of these improvements came directly from what we learned during our spring deliveries in Fort Myers.
We watched where orders slowed down, listened to feedback from customers and drivers, and identified the parts of the experience that needed improvement. Then we rebuilt them.
That feedback continues to shape BoatBites as we expand into more boating communities.
